Despite an injury scare last week, Josh Allen is still expected to play.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback said Tuesday that he “will play and plans to play” this weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles. He suffered a foot injury in last week’s game, which also caused him to miss Tuesday’s practice.

“I mean, [it’s] It’s still sore,” Allen said via ESPN. “There was a walkthrough today, so no general practice really. So yeah,…it feels good. “
He was trying to avoid a sack late in the first half of the Bills’ 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. He was tripped in the backfield and immediately began twisting his foot in obvious pain before jumping back up.
Allen underwent an X-ray of his foot at halftime but was cleared to return to the game. He ended up not missing a beat and finished the game normally. Allen went 12-for-19 for 130 yards in the win, which was the team’s fourth straight and helped the team reach an 11-4 record on the season.

Allen also didn’t appear to be bothered by the injury he suffered Sunday.
“We’re gravy babies and everything’s good,” Allen said after the win.
Allen has thrown for 3,406 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions so far this season, which ranks him eighth in the league. He also earned Pro Bowl honors for the fourth time in his career on Tuesday.
The Bills have clinched their seventh consecutive playoff berth this season despite falling behind the New England Patriots in the AFC East race. They’ll need some help from New England over the next two weeks to lock down another division title, something they haven’t lost since 2019.
While Mitch Trubisky is the Bills’ backup, it sounds like Allen will be ready to go Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium. This should greatly help the Bills’ chances of catching the Patriots.
