53′ — Josip Stanisic makes a timely tackle to prevent Jena Mateo Bahoya from advancing towards goal.

50′ – Alphonso Davies limps off injured and Hiroki Ito replaces him.

47′ – Frankfurt get an early scare but the goal kick is saved.

45′ – Second half we’re back! There were no substitutes on either side.

halftime observation

  • Bayern dominated this game. The entire half was just Bayern probing for another goal, and you’d be forgiven for thinking Frankfurt didn’t show up.

  • Frankfurt looks completely toothless. With the exception of Jean-Matteo Bahoya, no one looked the slightest bit threatening.

  • Joshua Kimmich was dismissive. Tom Bischof is right there hungry to play.

  • Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies are still finding their feet back as they regain speed.
