Battlefield 6 Season 1 Gameplay Trailer Details New ‘Blackwell Fields’ Map and More

Electronic Arts has released a gameplay trailer for post-launch content for Battlefield 6 Season 1. The game’s first season will begin on October 28, bringing a new large-scale map, Blackwell Fields, as well as new modes, weapons, and vehicles. Battlefield 6 was released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X on October 10 and sold more than 7 million copies in three days.

EA shared a trailer for Battlefield 6 Season 1 on its social media channels on Wednesday. The trailer shows off the explosive gameplay in the new Blackwell Fields map, launching on October 28th. It also shows off the smaller Eastwood map, which will be released later as part of the second phase of Season 1 content in November.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 Details

The first phase will launch later this month and will be called “Rogue Ops.” The Blackwell battlefield map included in the first phase will support all battle sizes and vehicles. The map is set on a U.S. Air Force base in the California badlands. Visually, the fiery map is dotted with oil wells, perfect for large-scale warfare.

In addition to the map, Rogue Ops will also add a new close-quarters multiplayer mode called Strikepoint. In 4v4 mode, two teams will compete for an objective over multiple rounds, and players can only gain one life per round.

Season 1 will also add the SOR-300C carbine, Mini Fix sniper rifle and GGH-22 pistol, as well as two weapon attachments. Finally, Rogue Ops will feature the Armored Personnel Carrier Mark 2 land vehicle as an infantry support vehicle.

The Season 1 update will be released on October 28th, and the second phase will be released on November 18th. The third phase, called “Winter Offensive,” will launch on December 9.
