For nearly four years, Battlefield 6 has been highly anticipated by fans eagerly awaiting the next installment in the series. This anticipation is reflected in the number of players queuing up for the game’s first public beta, more than two months before its full launch in October. The early access to the first beta version of “Battlefield 6” has not yet started, and more than 20,000 players have logged into the game on Steam at the same time, waiting to test its multiplayer maps and modes.
Battlefield 6 open beta starts on August 7
According to the SteamDB chart, the first public beta of Battlefield 6 had a peak concurrent player count of 24,879 on Steam, reaching this number even before it went online. Early Access for the first public beta will begin on Thursday, August 7 at 8:00 UTC (1:00 AM PT or 1:30 PM IST). Once online, thousands of people may join the fight. When we consider PS5 and Xbox Series S/X users entering the beta, the number of players is likely to be even higher.
Players logging into the open beta also reported busy servers. One such user posted a screenshot on Reddit showing that the Battlefield 6 game servers are full, with its open beta queue at 48,880.
The Battlefield 6 open beta begins pre-loading on Monday on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App), PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. Players who sign up as a Battlefield Labs or EA Play Pro subscriber before July 31 can get early access. For everyone else, Battlefield 6’s first open beta weekend will begin on August 9th and end on August 10th. The game’s second open beta will take place next week from August 14th to August 17th.
Earlier this week, EA detailed the maps, modes, and challenges that will be available in the Battlefield 6 open beta ahead of the game’s full release. The first open beta will feature three maps – Siege of Cairo, Tahrir Peak and Iberia Offensive – and five multiplayer modes – Conquest, Closed Arms Breach, Breach, Domination and King of the Hill.
The second open test will add one more map and two new modes to those available during the first weekend.
Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10th on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. The military shooter, the first Battlefield game in nearly four years, is also available for pre-order on supported storefronts.
