I doubt I’m the only one who thinks Scott Bain’s stay at Falkirk was short.
Bain looked fully settled from the moment he arrived this summer, taking over the No. 1 jersey from Nicky Hogarth and proving to be one of the club’s smartest moves in the club’s return to the top flight.

His game-winning saves, clinical play and ability to attack from deep soon attracted wider attention, not just within the league but outside of it.
It wasn’t long before rumors were in full swing and interest was growing. There are rumors that clubs on both sides of the border are ready to attack as Bain is only on a one-year contract.
This only intensified when the 34-year-old’s form saw him recalled to the Scotland squad, which was more than worth it considering his performances this season.
With all of this in mind, the prospect of Bain moving on this summer seems inevitable and many supporters are already bracing themselves for this outcome.

But then came some surprising news. In a huge and unexpected boost, the club confirmed on Friday that Bain has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract.
We’ve already added new faces in January, but retaining Bain is equally important.
