The 2026 league arrives next month. It officially started on March 11, and the legal negotiation period began on March 9.
Before that happens, the Arizona Cardinals have a lot of roster decisions to make.

Ahead of the new league year, we’ll profile each player on the roster, reviewing their performance last season, their contract status and what they face in 2026.
Next up is wide receiver Zay Jones.
Zay Jones 2025 season
Jones re-signed with the team in 2025 for his second season. Following a disappointing 8-catch season in 2024, the 2025 season is also disappointing. He had just 12 catches for 183 yards in eight games before tearing his Achilles against the Seattle Seahawks and missing the entire season.

Jones is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent when the new season begins on March 11.

Zay Jones offseason outlook
This will be a tough foul for Jones. He has to get healthy first, but after a combined 20 catches in two seasons, teams won’t be knocking on his services.
He’ll likely be on a league-minimum contract during training camp. As for the Cardinals, don’t count on him coming back.
