First round:
As expected, neither fighter had a great showing. Woodley lands first with a body right. Silva blocks a high punch. But he didn’t throw anything himself. Woodley has a quick little combo. It didn’t do much, but at least he was off the leash. Silva continues to move and feint. Look to the right at Silva’s body. Another body shot from Woodley. Woodley pushes in and they seal the win. Blech.
Woodley, the mixed martial arts score was 10-9 in this round.
Second round:
Woodley takes center stage while Silva circles. Good body from Silva, then a right uppercut. Woodley stayed busy, but that disadvantage made life difficult. Silva tests the jab but leaves the ground, shocking Woodley. Woodley stumbled forward, almost looking like he was preparing for a takedown. knock down. The referee took a closer look at Woodley and noticed he was still reeling. He was waving goodbye to the incident. Considering Woodley is 43 years old and no longer a chick himself, I’m fine with this suspension.
