Nearly two years after a teenager was thrown to the ground after accidentally throwing water on a woman at a Colorado In-N-Out restaurant, her attacker has been sentenced.
Under a plea agreement Monday, Feb. 23, Lucas Kalisher pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted assault-strangulation, a fifth-degree felony. Loveland Herald reporter, Citing court records from Eighth Judicial District Court in Fort Collins.
The 57-year-old man was previously charged with second-degree assault, strangulation and child abuse, but both charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. Loveland Herald reporter reported.
In addition to 30 months of probation, Kalisher, a former private equity CEO, must complete an anger management evaluation and any recommended treatment, submit a letter of apology to the victim, complete 120 hours of community service and pay restitution to the victim. Loveland Herald reporter Fox 31 reports.
The sentencing comes nearly two years after Loveland police were dispatched to the In-N-Out restaurant on Aug. 4, 2024, to investigate an assault.

They encountered a 15-year-old man who said he and two friends were “throwing water at each other and having a fight” at the restaurant, according to a Loveland Police Department news release at the time.
The teen said that during the interaction, an adult woman was accidentally splashed with water, prompting him to go to her table and apologize.
An adult male accompanying the woman then “put his hands around the woman’s front and back,” according to a news release issued after the incident. [the teen’s] neck, pulling him onto the table and throwing him backwards to the floor. “
The adult male and female left the restaurant before police arrived.
The next day, after police interviewed witnesses and viewed videos depicting different views of the incident, witnesses came forward and identified Kalisher as the attacker.
