The world is waiting to see what the Philadelphia Eagles will do with star wide receiver AJ Brown, who has been the subject of numerous trade rumors this offseason.

Meanwhile, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer has an interesting report on Brown’s preferred team.
That wish list includes the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs, although Breer added that the Patriots are the only team in the group seriously considering trading him.
On the surface, it might seem like this gives the Patriots some leverage, but Breer explained why that’s not the case.
Finally, we mentioned the Patriots, Chiefs, Chargers, and Bills as teams on AJ Brown’s wish list, and New England appears to be the only team in that group that’s actually willing to trade the 28-year-old three-time All-Pro. This seems to give the Patriots some leverage. But on the other hand, Brown is really the only top receiver on the trade market, which gives the Eagles leverage. Or maybe putting those two elements together just makes this a staring contest. Time will tell.
The Patriots mean a lot to Brown.
Not only are the Patriots in dire need of a No. 1 receiver, with New England reportedly set to cut Stefon Diggs, but Brown has been linked to New England through head coach Mike Vrabel, whom Brown played for at Tennessee.

The current roadblock to a Browns trade is rumored to be the Eagles’ asking price, which NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo revealed is “Quinine Williams-esque.”
That means Philadelphia is looking for at least a first- and second-round pick, and likely a player, which is the player the Dallas Cowboys traded with the New York Jets for Williams.
The expectation is that this is too much for the Patriots, but that might change if New England continues to shed receivers in free agency.
