A TEENAGER has been convicted of raping a woman in a portable toilet.

Mohammed Abdullah, 19, was found guilty of rape and assault by penetration after attacking the 19-year-old man on Bournemouth seafront in the early hours of July 6, 2025.

Abdullah, from West Drayton, west London, denied the charges and claimed the sex was consensual, but he was convicted after a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Judge Robert Pawson remanded him in custody until sentencing on July 3.

Pawson told Abdullah: “I came down from London with a group of other young people on July 5-6 and unfortunately you got into trouble on the road. [with the victim].

“She had had too much to drink, it was late at night, she was on the seafront in Bournemouth and on a whim you decided to take advantage of the opportunity.

“You deliberately took her further up the beach to Portalous which, in my judgment of the evidence, you knew were there and knew they were open.

“You locked her in the Portaloo and raped her.”

Mark Eldridge, prosecuting, told the trial the woman had been out with a friend of Charminster’s before going to Bar So in Bournemouth.

He said the woman began walking home along the seafront after drinking “a considerable amount of alcohol” and she and her friend walked in different directions.

They stopped at a portable toilet, where Abdullah sexually assaulted and raped her.

Afterwards, Abdullah rode off and the woman “took off her shoes and ran,” Eldridge said.

She asked passers-by for help and asked to call her mother on her mobile phone before calling the police.

Eldridge said a man who helped her described her as “looking in pain.”

Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT), praised the woman for “showing courage” in reporting the assault and “showing support and resilience throughout the investigation and justice process”.

“This is vital in holding the attacker accountable for his despicable actions that night,” he said.

“I hope the courage she has shown will give other victims of rape and sexual crime the strength to come forward, knowing they will be supported and every effort will be made to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of such serious crimes.”

Abdullah arrived in the UK from Syria in 2023 and was granted permanent residency under the family reunification scheme.
