“From the outset, Carl impressed with his discipline, determination and team spirit and gradually developed into an important part of the team,” said Horst Hult, the league’s director of men’s professional football.
“The fact that we were able to confidently put our de facto number three in goal is nothing to take for granted and speaks to his ability. We’re looking forward to working with him into the final games of the season and into the new season.”
Klaus, who joined the league on a free transfer from 1. FC Nuremberg in 2024, said:
“It means a lot to me personally to achieve a historic achievement here and to realize a lifelong dream. I am grateful to the club, the coaching staff and everyone who has placed their trust in them.
“I’ve felt very comfortable in the league since day one. Now I’m looking forward to giving back to the team and the fans. I’m going to give it my all and give it my all every day.”
