NASCAR reveals status of Chris Buescher’s No. 17 car at R&D Center

Following the conclusion of the Watkins Glen International Cup Series, NASCAR brought Chris Buescher’s No. 17 car to the Development Center. The sport took a closer look at Buescher’s car after a strong performance at Watkins Glen; however was there any penalty imposed on the RFK Racing driver?

Buescher’s No. 17 car showed no issues at the NASCAR Research and Development Center, which is the best result for further inspections. In previous years, NASCAR has identified issues that cost teams and drivers over 100 points or more, so Buescher’s approval is good news.

Entering the NASCAR All-Star Game, Buescher was fifth in the standings, 98 points ahead of the Chase Bubble with 14 races remaining in the NASCAR regular season. The driver of RFK Racing’s No. 17 Ford will look to carry his momentum into Dover Speedway as the organization looks to continue its good pace into 2026.
