With the regular season winding down, Big 12 softball turns its attention to the annual conference tournament.

Only a handful of programs in the Big 12 Tournament have clinched a berth in the NCAA tournament: No. 1 seed Texas Tech, No. 2 seed Oklahoma State and No. 3 seed Arizona. There are programs in the tournament that could get some wins this weekend to improve their chances in the at-large bid, such as Kansas State and Central Florida.
The Red Raiders will be looking to defend last season’s division title, and if the regular season is any indication, they appear to be on track to do just that. Star pitcher NiJaree Canady has already performed well in the tournament — the senior just threw five perfect innings against Baylor last weekend.
