Alexander Isak will return to training with the Liverpool first team on Thursday following an injury.
The Swedish striker has not featured since suffering a serious leg injury against Tottenham Hotspur in December. Isaac underwent surgery for a broken fibula and ankle issues, derailing the record signing’s first season.

Arne Slott confirmed that Isaac will train with the squad today ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester City. Liverpool will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
“I think Alex is in a very good position because Sweden qualified for the World Cup last night and on top of that he will train with the team again tomorrow,” Slaughter told the club’s official website.
“If you work hard for three or four months or something like that and then come back to training with the team, it’s good for everyone. So in that sense, Alex is in a good position.
“Of course, this is just his first treatment, and after three or four months [out]with the team, but it’s good to have him back because we all know who we signed and we signed an unbelievable forward.

“So to have him back on a team that typically generates a lot of chances — maybe not immediately from the first moment he comes on — but I think having him back over the last two months has been very helpful for us.”
