Washington’s offensive line is playing well in 2025, but there have been some changes. Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury “parted ways,” while offensive line coach Bobby Johnson was sent on a less-than-ceremonious note. The team promoted a new OL coach from the existing coaching staff.
When it comes to OL players, the first thing that surprised fans was that the Commander waived starting center Tyler Biadasz. The team hasn’t made any significant moves to replace him in free agency, although the front office did extend the contract of Tyler Biadasz, last year’s backup who started in Week 18 when Biadasz was injured. Allegretti is the clear starter in this position, at least for now.

The team also re-signed Laremy Tunsil, making him the highest-paid (on an annual basis) NFL lineman in league history, and recently re-signed backup OT Trent Scott to a one-year contract.
The problem is at left guard, where last year’s starter Brandon Coleman was outclassed by fourth-year guard Chris Paul, whose rookie contract expires at the end of the ’25 season.

Paul and Coleman should have a chance to rejoin last year’s battle for the starting job.
There have been no reports on Paul’s trade value, but he has a full week to earn a lucrative contract from any of the 32 teams. The fact that he returned to Washington with a report late Friday strongly suggests that he has not found the market he had hoped for. This could be good news for the Commanders, who now feel very good about the depth at the position.
