RFK Racing is paying tribute to Greg Biffle, who died in a plane crash during a NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway in December. RFK Racing will use Biffle’s signature race number font on Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 car, Chris Buescher’s No. 17 car and Ryan Preece’s No. 60 car.
The organization also tallied the car numbers for the 2026 Daytona 500 race. It is unclear whether AJ Allmendinger, who drives the No. 16 car for Kaulig Racing, will also be wearing a retro paint scheme for Biffle at Darlington. NASCAR won’t be pushing teams to adopt retro paint schemes starting in 2026, but that won’t stop the organization from paying homage to drivers of the past.
For RFK Racing, there was no way Darlington could pass without respecting Biffler. The former NASCAR driver has been an important part of RFK Racing throughout his Cup Series career, driving the No. 16 car to 19 wins between 2003 and 2019. NASCAR teams will continue to honor Biffler throughout the 2026 season and beyond.
