The Indianapolis Colts will meet one of the most productive pass rushers entering the 2025 college season.
According to Ryan Fowler, the Colts plan to visit Texas Tech edge linebacker Romero Highter. In addition to the Colts, New England, Washington, Dallas and San Francisco also have visits scheduled.

At 6-foot-3, 240 pounds, his size will bring a different element to the Colts’ defensive end position.
Hight had a breakout year in 2025, totaling 62 quarterback pressures and nine sacks. Among all defensive ends, that was the seventh-most pressure in college football last season. Not surprisingly, Height also ranked 13th in PFF’s pass rush win rate metric.
For more information on height, NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein had this to say in his scouting report:
“Being an edge defender with a lean, angular frame and height will require a lot of weight training to compete in the pros,” Zierlein wrote. “His rush is quick and relentless. He challenges over the top with a long stride and can leap into coverage. However, he lacks play strength and contact balance, allowing blockers to bounce him off. He will need to improve his skill level and refine his approach if he wants to make an impact as a designated pass rusher, but he has the talent to create some chaos in the pocket.”

Height ranks No. 76 overall on PFF’s roster and No. 14 among edge rushers.
The Colts added to the defensive end position in free agency, signing Aden Key and Michael Clemons. However, both are rotation players. The Colts still need to find a more impactful player to pair with Leatu Latu.
Without a first-round pick, the Colts’ No. 1 pick in this year’s draft would be the next day, No. 47.
