Kenny Brooks and the Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball team didn’t go all the way in last week’s SEC Tournament, but they did win two games before meeting South Carolina in the quarterfinals. Their wins over Arkansas and Georgia were both solid and earned two spots in this week’s USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

The Wildcats are ranked No. 17 this week, up from No. 19 before the game. However, they are still the sixth-ranked team in the SEC.

The SEC Tournament champion Texas Longhorns are ranked third in the SEC, followed by South Carolina, LSU Tigers and Vanderbilt in fourth through sixth spots. The Oklahoma Sooners also made the top 10, which means the SEC once again holds half of the top 10 spots.

Overall, eight SEC teams were ranked this week, with one additional receiving a vote. This has been a strong conference all season long and looks to be the same in the NCAA Tournament.

The women’s NCAA tournament bracket will be revealed on Sunday, followed by an interesting March Madness. Kentucky has proven they can play against top teams, now they need to show they can beat them.

Here’s this week’s complete top 25.
