Former Juventus and Roma star Miralem Pjanic now lives in Dubai, where he sometimes “hears intercepted Iranian missiles” but feels “safe” and is “constantly reassured by local authorities”.

Among them is a former Juventus, Roma and Barcelona midfielder who lives in Dubai.
Pjanic ‘safe’ in Dubai despite Middle East crisis

“I live near the city center. Sometimes you can feel something strange in the air and you can hear Iranian missiles being intercepted,” the former midfielder told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“But we are safe and receive constant reassurances from local authorities. I receive messages and notifications from friends living in Europe, almost all of which are fake news.”

The 35-year-old player retires from CSKA Moscow after the 2024-25 season and is preparing to become a qualified football agent.
“I’m learning the job by working with my agent, Fali Ramadani,” he said.
“I bring a combination of experience, football knowledge and the many languages I speak.”
A former Bosnia and Herzegovina international, Pjanic won four Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and an Italian Super Cup with Juventus. He also reached the Champions League final in the 2016-17 season.
From the 2015-16 season to the 2018-19 season, he was selected into the Serie A Team of the Year for three consecutive seasons.
He played 281 games for Juventus and Roma in Serie A, scoring 42 goals and providing 74 assists.
