Beloved restaurant chain closing for good next month

After 30 years, Olive Garden parent company Darden Restaurant Inc. will close all remaining Bahama Breeze restaurants within weeks.

“The company has now decided to permanently close 14 Bahama Breeze restaurants and plans to convert the remaining 14 restaurants to another Darden brand,” the company said in a statement.

“The company does not expect these actions to have a material impact on its financial results.”

The closure is expected to be completed by April 5.

Darden’s portfolio includes iconic brands such as Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze and seven other restaurant chains.

Mr Dutton said Bahama Breeze would be closed because it was no longer a “strategic priority”.

The company did not specify which chains would take over the remodeled Bahama Breeze stores.
