Atletico Madrid will be busy this summer, with a number of positions in Diego Simeone’s squad to be addressed. The striker is one of those who has cast doubt on the futures of Antoine Griezmann and Alexander Solos.
The former has been heavily linked with a move to Major League Soccer, and at this stage it’s only natural that he would end up joining Orlando City. Soros has been linked with a number of clubs, so it’s likely that Atletico will seek both forwards to join their ranks for the 2026-27 season and beyond.

Atletico Madrid became interested in Fabio Silva, who had impressed during his loan spell at Las Palmas 12 months ago. Eventually, the Portuguese striker moved to Borussia Dortmund, which opened the door for him to return to Spanish football, although he struggled there.

According to ED, Atletico consider Silva a possible target this summer, although they face competition from Real Betis, who are still interested in signing the former Wolves striker after missing out on him in January.
Silva may have struggled in Germany, but his performances at Las Palmas mean Atletico Madrid and Betis are interested in his services. Ten goals in 25 games for the relegated side is an impressive return and both clubs believe he can achieve better results in a better team.

It will be interesting to see if Atletico or Betis decide to move for Silva during the summer transfer window. Los Colchoneros will be in a better position to pay Dortmund’s demands given their greater spending power, although director of football Mateu Alemany will have a number of other targets on the table with the Portuguese as preparations continue in the off-season.
