Plymouth Argyle youngster Tegan Finn deserves a break into the first team, according to manager Tom Cleverley.
The 17-year-old winger scored the equalizer in the Pilgrims’ 2-1 Vertu Trophy quarter-final loss to Luton Town earlier this week, his first goal against first-team opposition.

Despite being a youth player, Finn was included in Argyle’s 22-man outfield squad for the remainder of the season.
This resulted in the absence of Ayman Benaros, although the midfielder was reinstated following Cornel Sukes’ departure from the club.
A few days later, Finn impressed Argyle’s youth team with a goal.
Cleverley said: “The attitude he showed when he played for the 18 on Saturday and scored four goals for them caught everyone’s attention and tells you he deserves the opportunity in the team.”
“It allowed the first team to perform well on Tuesday and score a goal, which could have been an important goal.

“I love club football and on Saturday you can play for our 18-man squad and on Tuesday you can score a cup quarter-final goal for the first team.
“He deserves to be part of the first-team plans, maybe more than he has been progressing, but that’s down to the attacking players that have been playing – Owen Dell, Ronan Curtis, Xavier Amaechi.”
“So there’s a lot of competition in that area of the court, but Teigen deserved his opportunity and I think he took advantage of it.”
