As expected, the NFLPA’s annual ratings of NFL franchises were leaked to the media, and ESPN obtained the full details of the report. The NFL, through appeals and an arbitrator’s ruling, blocked the public release of NFLPA transcripts earlier this month.
The union rates players in 17 categories, including head coaches. No one had a grade lower than a C-minus, and that grade belonged to Kevin Stefanski of the Cleveland Browns. He was one of nine head coaches fired last season, the other being Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin, who resigned after the Steelers were eliminated from the playoffs. (Stefanski was quickly hired by the Atlanta Falcons, replacing Raheem Morris.)
