Barcelona needed a strong response after two consecutive defeats and their two young midfielders delivered when it mattered most.
The 3-0 victory over Levante at Camp Nou was not just about taking back control of La Liga; It also has to do with the rise of Marc Bernal and the growing influence of Fermin Lopez.

Review the game
In a post-match interview, Bernal admitted that the early moments of the game were tense before his goal steadied the team.
“They had a chance in the first minute but my goal gave us some breathing room. I’m really happy with the win and being able to help score a goal.” he said.
The young midfielder also showed an emotional side after scoring again at Camp Nou.
“I think a lot about my father’s goals and my doctors, who told me I would score. All goals are special.
“Will Pedri’s return mean I need a few minutes? This is Barca, the competition is very fierce and we all have to always strive for the highest level.”

Fermin also made a strong statement. Although he started as a substitute, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder came on and scored the third goal with a precise left-foot shot from the edge of the penalty area.
Explaining the moment, he said: “We controlled the game better in the second half. I saw the gap and it turned out to be a good goal.
“I can shoot with both feet, I train a lot and when I can, I try.”
Fermin then revealed how he works on his weak foot. “When I was little, I couldn’t reach because I was so small! During my loan spell at Linares, my coach insisted a lot.
“Alberto, now in Albacete, told me to try and My legs, I’ve been working on. I was a little anxious before. I’m too anxious. “
When asked about his favorite position, he didn’t hesitate: “I prefer to play as an attacking midfielder, but I will play wherever the coach puts me.”

Reflecting on the team’s reaction after the two defeats, he added,
“We didn’t play well in those two losses and we criticized ourselves, but we played a good game.
“Improvement? We gave our opponents too many chances. We have corrected this because it is not just a problem of defense, but also a problem of poor pressure in the frontcourt.” he concluded.
