His family said Kaden Zubler may have died on or shortly after his disappearance last May.
They announced on February 21 that Zubler had been found dead on their Facebook page, a “Kaden Zubler Missing Update” page they created last May dedicated to finding him.
“The exact details of Kaden’s death are unknown, but it likely occurred on the day he disappeared, May 15, or shortly thereafter,” the page said. “These details we have are shared on an individual basis.”
Topeka police have not released any information.

Celebration of life scheduled soon
The family’s Facebook page said a private memorial service will be held at a later date and a celebration of life will be planned.
“We still encourage anyone who may have knowledge or information about Carden, his whereabouts last May, and anyone who may have had contact with him to contact authorities,” the statement said.

Zubler was last seen on May 15
Zubler, who goes by the nickname “Zube,” was last seen walking north at the intersection of Northwest Topeka Avenue and Northwest Morse Street on May 15 around 8:10 p.m.
The page states that early on May 15, Zubler was seen walking at the intersection of Southwest 21st Street and Topeka Avenue, about 4.4 miles south.
The Facebook page said Zubler was not homeless, had not been diagnosed with a mental illness, was not taking any hard drugs and had never raised concerns that he might want to harm himself.
He is said to be independent and may refuse to help.
Danjel Garrett, communications director for the City of Topeka, said that on May 17, the Topeka Police Department received a report that Zubler was missing.
