It’s a great day for those who believe in omens and hate the New York Yankees.
Sewage seeped into a bathroom at the New York Yankees clubhouse on Saturday during a spring training game at Steinbrenner Field, forcing fans to walk around the smelly pool, The Athletic’s Brendan Coutee reported. The Tampa Department of Public Works is reportedly aware of the problem.

From the Games:
“It’s spring training in the bathroom, too,” a Yankees spokesman said.
Workers were reportedly removing part of the stadium office entrance to access the pipes, while a security guard was directing people around the dirty water. The Yankees also closed the lower level of the two-story team store, where some sewage flowed from outside the club bathrooms into the carpeted area.
The Yankees did their best to address the issue, conducting interviews in the hallway instead of the clubhouse. Their captain’s analysis via The Athletic:
“It’s not good. It’s all over the place,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “Hopefully we can clear it out overnight and be back in business tomorrow.”
“Life pushes at you sometimes,” he added. “We’re going to get through this.”
Never mind, though, that a little sewage bothered the Yankees as they defeated the Detroit Tigers 20-3 behind Aaron Judge’s two-run home run.
