The University of Louisville never trailed for a second as it celebrated Senior Day with an 87-70 win over Georgia Tech at the KFC Yum Center on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Brown Jr. scored a team-high 19 points, while trio J’Vonne Hadley (17), Ryan Conwell (15) and Isaac McKneely (14) also scored in double figures.

It’s all not pretty for U of L. The Cardinals have gone 10-0 or more multiple times against the Yellow Jackets, who lost for the ninth straight time. Louisville also struggled with turnovers again, giving up the ball a season-high 18 times.
Louisville made up for those shortcomings by shooting 52 percent from the field (27 of 52), 45 percent from 3-point range (14 of 31) and 95 percent from the free throw line (19 of 20). They also forced Tech into 17 turnovers of its own.
Senior Spencer Legg added an exclamation point to the afternoon by draining his second Cardinal career 3-pointer in the final seconds of the game.
It wasn’t an encouraging performance against one of the worst power conference teams in college basketball right now, but it got the job done.
