The Buffalo Bills need a star wide receiver.

Josh Allen hasn’t had a true No. 1 pass catcher since the moment Stefon Diggs left town, and while he’s done a lot of good things with the ragtag group around him, things could have been a lot better with a dynamite weapon out there.

This is where AJ Brown could come into play.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ disgruntled WR corps is having a rocky 2025 season filled with drama on and off the field. Despite this, he still gained over 1,000 yards.

In the NFL, there’s no question that Brown is still extremely talented. It’s just a matter of whether he wants to stay in Philadelphia.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano said in a new article on Thursday that the Bills are one of four possible destinations for Brown if the Eagles try to trade him. What about everyone else? Cleveland, Baltimore and New England.

“Whether general manager Brandon Beane thinks so or not, quarterback Josh Allen could indeed benefit from a true No. 1 receiver to pressure the defense,” Graziano wrote. “Brown’s 2026 contract is not financially prohibitive for a top WR.”

Graziano went on to predict a scenario where the Bills trade Brown with the Eagles, and he put it very simply: Brown in exchange for the Bills’ first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the 26th overall pick.

“It’s hard to imagine Buffalo getting a surefire, instant-impact playmaker with the current first-round pick,” Graziano wrote. “So why not use it to get a veteran? Is there a better win-now situation than Buffalo’s? For the Eagles, a first-round pick doesn’t sound like a bad return for a 28-year-old receiver with just one year left on his contract.”

The price might not be enough for the Eagles, and the Bills might then be forced to try to use the No. 26 pick on a wide receiver.

But if they can use the pick to acquire Brown, it might be Allen’s best path to leading Buffalo to the Super Bowl.
