Will Seahawks make White House visit?

If you haven’t heard, the Seahawks won Super Bowl X. One of the questions that will need to be addressed in the coming weeks is whether they will make an annual visit to the White House to commemorate the achievement.

Some speculate they won’t. According to the team, nothing has been offered or decided yet.

In this case, anything other than “yes” can fairly be interpreted as “maybe not.”

For Super Bowl champions, the trip was once a no-brainer. In recent years, things have changed. (This is an undeniable fact at a time when Americans are divided on many things.)

Last year, the Eagles visited the White House. Whether the Seahawks will do the same remains to be seen.

While an invitation is a prerequisite for acceptance, it may not be issued if the White House believes it will not be accepted.
