The high school football season continues deep into the playoffs and the best team in Palm Beach County is still standing.

While King’s Academy defeated Lakeland Christian in Tuesday’s 10 a.m. showdown, several other local boys and girls soccer teams also competed in Tuesday night’s regional finals.

Here’s how local teams fared in the state regional finals.

Jupiter 3, Lake Nona 1

Jupiter led 2-0 at halftime and defeated Lake Nona 3-1. The Warriors will await their opponent in the state semifinals on Tuesday, February 24th.

If Jupiter advances, the state finals will be held the following day, Wednesday, February 25 at 4 p.m.

Cypress Bay 2, Wellington 1

Wellington put up a valiant effort against a strong Cypress Bay team but ultimately failed to advance.

The Wolverines will finish the season with a 15-3-1 record, cementing themselves as one of the top teams in Palm Beach County.

Pembroke Pines Charter 0 (W), Dr. Joaquin Garcia 0

Dr. Joaquín García’s magical season has come to an end after losing to Pembroke Pines Charter on penalties.

As the No. 7 seed entering regionals, they defeated No. 2 and No. 3 seeds to solidify the best finish in the young program’s history.
