Lenovo Legion Go 2 Fully Leaked, Revealing AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme Chip, 78Whr Battery

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 has been completely leaked ahead of its planned launch. The gaming handheld first appeared in prototype form at CES 2025 and will reportedly be unveiled at the IFA show in Berlin later this week. However, a new leak details the features, specs, and design of the Legion Go 2 ahead of its official launch. As expected, Lenovo’s second-generation handheld computer will be powered by the AMD Ryzen Extreme Z2 chip.

The information comes from Evan Blass, who shared a series of leaked Lenovo Legion Go 2 marketing materials on Monday. Blass claimed last week that Lenovo plans to showcase the handheld computer, along with a variety of devices, at the IFA trade show starting on September 5. The leaked information includes several marketing images showcasing the handheld’s design as well as hardware specs and features.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 design

The Legion Go 2 follows the same design language as the Lenovo Legion Go S, with curved sides instead of the Legion Go’s square body. However, the handheld device shares detachable controllers, an OLED display, and other features with its predecessor.

The device can be operated in “handheld mode,” or in “console mode,” connecting the left and right controllers to form a gamepad, just like the Nintendo Switch. Lenovo Legion Go’s FPS mode also returns, allowing players to use one of the controllers as a joystick to play shooters.

According to the leak, the device will come with a larger fan for cooling. Other key design features include an ergonomic design with “excimer coating” on the controller’s handles, enhanced rear button design, and a kickstand on the back to support the device while playing in console and FPS modes.
