Teacher charged, accused of hitting student during fight on Aldine ISD campus, court docs show

An Aldine Independent School District teacher is accused of punching a student during a fight at GW Carver High School in January, court documents show.

Court documents obtained by Eyewitness News say Jetsonta Green was seen on campus surveillance filming a student walking to the cafeteria. Green and the student exchanged words before Green’s daughter, who also attends Carver High School, approached, records show.

Investigators said Green put the girl, who was under 15 years old, in a headlock before she and her daughter began beating her.

Video shared by a student showed the fight lasting at least 90 seconds. During the fight, Green picked up a chair and acted as if he was going to throw it at the teen, records show.

Court records show the victim’s mother took her to urgent care complaining of head, neck and back pain. Records also show Green left campus without issuing a statement.

Green was charged 10 days later, records show.
