Suspect in Warrenville kidnapping identified, arrested, according to police reports

Feb. 4—Warrenville — A woman was arrested on first-degree domestic violence charges for resisting arrest and kidnapping after a 6-year-old girl was removed from her home during a heated argument.

The suspect is Shaniqua Parker, 34, who is currently being held in the Aiken County Detention Center.

On Feb. 3, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a man who was waiting outside a home on Tramain Lane in Warrenville for a mechanic to come look at his broken down dump truck.

While he was waiting, a woman came up to him and told him she had been beaten.

The man told police he witnessed Parker punch the woman and drag her back into the house.

An officer arrived on scene and learned that Parker was heading into the woods with another woman’s 6-year-old daughter.

Police reports say law enforcement dispatched a drone to survey the area.

The woman told police she and Parker started fighting around 10 a.m. that morning and that she was strangled more than once during the argument.

The child who had been taken away reappeared at the house and said Parker was in another trailer behind their residence. It was confirmed that this was Parker’s mother’s home.

Police surrounded the house until Parker came out. The police report states that she was apparently “cut by brush.”

The report also said Parker resisted arrest before being transported to a detention center.
