Team Ninja’s upcoming action RPG Nioh 3 will launch on PC and PS5 on February 6th. Previous Nioh games have only been released on PC and PlayStation consoles, but it seems likely that the third game in the series will be coming to other consoles later this year. According to a new feature trailer released by Sony, “Nioh 3” will become a PS5 console exclusive within six months of the game’s launch.
A trailer released last week detailed Nioh 3’s PS5 features. The game will feature haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support on the DualSense controller. Nioh 3 will also support 4k visuals and 3D audio on PS5. On top of that, a note at the end of the PS5 feature trailer confirms that Nioh 3 will be exclusive to the PS5 console for at least six months after launch.
“Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least six months after February 6, 2026,” the note reads.
This means that “Nioh 3” may become the first game in the Team Ninja action role-playing series to launch on Xbox or Nintendo platforms, which may be launched as early as August 2026. Both Nioh and Nioh 2 are only playable on PC, PS4, and PS5.
Developer Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo have not confirmed plans for a possible release of Nioh 3 on Xbox Series S/X or Nintendo Switch 2.
“Nioh 3” demo version now available
The Nioh 3 demo is now available on PC (via Steam) and PS5. The demo supports online multiplayer for up to three players and will allow players to continue playing in the full version of the game, which will be released on February 6.
“Nioh 3” is an action role-playing game where players can master two game styles: samurai and ninja. This open-world game features the deep melee combat system and challenging boss battles that are hallmarks of the Nioh series. The game is currently available for pre-order on Steam and PlayStation Store.
