Manchester City midfielder Rodri called on referees to “remain neutral” in a fiery tirade as they suffered another setback for the Premier League champions following their 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester City held a 2-0 lead in north London on Sunday but the momentum swung in Spurs’ favor when Dominic Solanke’s goal was allowed to stand despite the striker appearing to foul Marc Guehi before taking contact with the ball.

Solanke then equalized with a stunning scorpion kick, leaving City six points behind leaders Arsenal.
“I know we won too much and people didn’t want us to win, but the referee has to be neutral and, to be honest, for me it’s not fair,” Rodri told ABC Stan Sports.
“At the end, when it was all done, we were frustrated because the foul was so obvious. He kicked his leg and, of course, with the push on the ball, it went in.”
“We have to pay attention to the little things or it will be difficult for everyone because that’s what this league is – it’s about the little details and everything matters, so I think in that sense it was a very difficult day for us.”

The controversial decision is just the latest decision that City feel has gone against them in recent weeks.
Guardiola claimed last week that the club had achieved success during his golden era “despite” some decisions that had been going against his side.
“It’s game after game and it’s impossible,” Rodri added.
“He anticipated Mark’s leg and it was a clear foul, but not today. Two or three games in a row, I honestly don’t know why.”
