NEW YORK (AP) — Boxer Jarrell Miller was punched so hard that his hair was knocked off.
The heavyweight boxer faced off against Kingsley Ibeh on Saturday night when Ibeh landed back-to-back shots in the second round, drawing cheers from the crowd even though he didn’t look particularly hard.

But one of the punches knocked Miller’s head back, causing his wig to pop up in the front, revealing a large bald patch that covered much of his head.
Miller finished the round wearing a wig, then ripped it out of the corner and threw it into the Madison Square Garden crowd between rounds.
Miller won by split decision and then did a celebratory dance while rubbing the top of his head. He said in a post-game interview that his hair fell out a few days ago after using a bottle of shampoo he found at his mother’s house.
The Brooklyn-based boxer is fighting on the event’s undercard, headlined by Teofimo Lopez’s title fight against the undefeated Shakur Stevenson in his first fight at Madison Square Garden. Miller was supposed to face then-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua at Arena in 2019, but failed a drug test. Andy Ruiz replaced him, much to Joshua’s displeasure.
