Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Early Access Goes Live as Players Report Cheating

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta is now available in Early Access, with thousands of players already logging in to try out the game’s multiplayer modes and maps. Despite Activision Blizzard’s anti-cheat measures, as expected, some cheaters appear to have joined the game. Players on social media have been reporting instances of cheating, with videos showing wall hacks and aimbots in the beta.

A few videos and reports of cheating in Black Ops 7 have surfaced on X. Activision Blizzard has also reportedly begun taking action against cheaters. According to Charlie Intel, a popular Call of Duty news and updates channel, Activision Blizzard said that many reported cheaters have been banned from its anti-cheat system, Ricochet.

Meanwhile, official Call of Duty update accounts on X have been responding to posts containing clips of players cheating in the Black Ops 7 beta, confirming that the accounts have been banned.

Earlier this week, Activision shared an update on Black Ops 7’s anti-cheat measures in a blog post. The publisher says it has been working to provide the “most advanced and robust anti-cheat protection” for its upcoming game since beta.

The Ricochet anti-cheat system will require players to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to play the Black Ops 7 beta on PC. The Battlefield 6 beta has similar requirements.

“When Black Ops 7 launches on November 14, these requirements will be combined with our latest RICOCHET anti-cheat upgrade. At that time, we will introduce a remote verification system (called Remote Attestation) to provide the strongest protection possible,” Activision said in a blog post.
