Publix closing in popular shopping district

A Publix store in Atlanta’s popular shopping and dining district will close this month. Atlantic Station confirmed in a statement that the last day for Publix stores will be Dec. 27.

We’re working to learn more about future plans for the site, which will be broadcast live on Channel 2 Action News at 4:00 p.m.

“Retail is cyclical and Atlantic Station will continue to adapt in ways that strengthen our position as a leading mixed-use destination,” the statement read. “We have the opportunity to reimagine the space and consider concepts that add new options and value to the surrounding community.”
