Auburn basketball’s latest KenPom ranking after taking down Florida

Auburn basketball snapped a 15-game losing streak against the Florida Gators with its first win since 1996 in Gainesville. The Tigers defeated the Gators 76-67 on Saturday, January 24th.

Keyshawn Hall took over the game for the Tigers, scoring 24 points. Hall finished the game with 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 block. The team shot 26 of 54 from the field and 5 of 15 from the three-point line.

The Tigers built a lead in the first half and ended the half 43-28. The Tigers kept the Gators from getting back into trouble the rest of the way. Auburn improves to 13-7 on the year and 4-3 in conference play.

The Tigers return to the top 30. KenPom has Auburn ranked No. 25, returning to the top 25 for the first time since Saturday, Dec. 6, when the Tigers were ranked No. 20 against Arizona State.

Auburn’s offensive efficiency jumped to 13th. KenPom gave Auburn’s offensive efficiency a score of 125. The performance of Hall and Murphy on offense suggests that could be a problem for the Tigers when hot.

The Bengals defense continues to improve. According to KenPom, their defensive rating is 103.2, ranking 64th.

Adjusted rhythm: No.177

The Tigers are still hovering around the adjusted national average pace, according to KenPom statistics. Auburn averaged 17.2 seconds of possession.
