Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Dremer has temporarily suspended her bodyguard pending an internal investigation into allegations of abuse.
A security guard was placed on administrative leave on January 16 after Trump’s labor “boss from hell” was accused of having a romantic relationship with a security guard, according to two sources with Bloomberg News.
The fiery accusations are part of a broader chaotic work environment that Chavez-Dremer is accused of creating.
These included drinking her private office’s “stockpile” of champagne, bourbon and Kahlua during the day; taking officials to strip clubs; and using government money to commit travel scams to visit friends and family.
The investigation was triggered by a complaint filed earlier this month with the Labor Department’s Office of Inspector General, according to a report obtained by The New York Post.
Chavez-Dremer, 57, allegedly hosted a subordinate at her Washington, D.C., apartment on three occasions and twice in her hotel room while traveling.

In October, the labor secretary allegedly spent time at the Red Rocks Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas with a staffer with whom she reportedly had an erotic session.
Chavez-DeRemer has been married to her husband, Dr. Shawn DeRemer, for more than thirty years. The couple has twin daughters.
At least a dozen government officials have reportedly been interviewed as part of an internal investigation. As the investigation unfolds, Chavez-Dremo’s chief of staff, Jixun Han, and deputy chief of staff, Rebecca Wright, have been placed on leave, along with a third, currently unnamed staff member. The indictment names Han and Wright as helping organize the Oregon Republican’s inappropriate “work” trips.

The White House previously denied the allegations against Chavez-Dremer in an interview with The Daily Beast.
White House spokesman Tyler Rogers said: “The New York Post was unable to provide any evidence to substantiate these baseless claims in this ‘report’ purportedly submitted by a disgruntled former employee.”
“Secretary Chavez-Dremer is a valuable asset to President Trump’s team and will continue to advance the President’s America First agenda.”
A Labor Department spokesman previously said the allegations were “absolutely false.”
Labor spokesperson Courtney Parella said: “The minister is considering all possible avenues, including legal action, to combat these baseless allegations from anonymous sources.”

Before the recent charges, Chavez-Dremo was known for partying. Last April, she was slammed for hosting a drunken bash at the office to celebrate her birthday.
Labor Department headquarters offered top officials a bash while the Department of Government Effectiveness made cuts aimed at closing some 87 Labor Department offices across the country.
“There is no basis in fact for this, as anyone who knows my wife will know,” Sean Dremer previously said in a statement about the allegations related to his wife.
