The G League’s Oklahoma City Blue lost to the Austin Spurs 127-112 on Tuesday. The home loss dropped their regular season record to 2-11.
It was a deceptive final score, as the Blues stayed competitive through the first three quarters and didn’t give up until the end. The Thunder played hotly and led 34-33 after the first game. In the second game, he maintained the lead with 31 points. At halftime, they led the Spurs 65-63.

The momentum has been moving in the right direction. The Blues scored 29 points in the third quarter. At this time, they led 94-88. The Thunder returned home for the first time within a minute and the atmosphere was great. With the two teams tied at 98 points, things started to fall apart.
That’s when Austin took complete control. With less than 5 minutes left in the game, the team scored 17 consecutive points to lead 115-98. Just three minutes in and the Blues had no idea what hit them. Talk about experiencing a high-speed avalanche.
The blue team cannot recover the rest of the way. In the last game, they trailed 39-18, and the score went from a double-digit lead to a double-digit deficit. It’s an unfortunate way to ruin an otherwise solid performance.
The Blues shot 44% from the field and 10 of 37 (27%) from three-point range. Made 9 of 11 free throws. They made 44 shots and sent out 31 assists. Four Blue Team players scored in double figures.
