Tobias Harris scored 25 points to lead the NBA Eastern Conference leader Detroit Pistons to a 104-103 victory over the second-place Boston Celtics on Martin Luther King Day.
Jaylen Brown had 32 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who nearly clinched the victory when his shot bounced off the rim in the final seconds at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The Pistons’ Jalen Duren contributed 18 points and 9 rebounds, and Cade Cunningham contributed 16 points and 14 assists.
“We wanted this game. This is a huge win for us,” Harris said.
“Two of the best teams in the East — our team is always ready to rise to the challenge.”
The Pistons improved their record to 31-10, while the Celtics were 26-16.
The Western Conference leader and defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder returned to winning ways with a 136-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Thunder came into the game coming off a loss to the Miami Heat and dominated the Cavaliers with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 30 points.

Victor Wembanyama scored 33 points to lead the Western Conference second-place San Antonio Spurs to a 123-110 victory over the Utah Jazz at home.
Wembanyama finished the game with a season-high seven three-pointers, including 10 rebounds, while six other Spurs players also scored in double figures.
