The Golden Knights have shaken things off nicely, riding a three-game winning streak heading into San Jose. However, they cannot overlook the Sharks, who have won six of their last seven games on the back of superstar Macklin Celebrini’s 13-game scoring streak. With the rivalry between the two sides looking set to explode again soon, this would be the perfect time for the Golden Knights to remind their new rivals that they are still the superior side.

Here’s how the Golden Knights continue to assert their dominance.
star power
In their last game against the St. Louis Blues, some of the Golden Knights’ best players made key contributions.
The headliner of the game was Mark Stone, whose empty-net dagger tied the longest scoring streak in the NHL this season and in franchise history at seven games. Shea Theodore also returned from injury to score the winning goal, while Mitch Marner and Jack Eichel also played. The Golden Knights are at their best when their stars are rolling in, and that’s certainly the case heading into San Jose.

back to the fight
Carter Hart suffered a lower-body injury against the Columbus Blue Jackets, putting the Golden Knights’ goaltender in trouble again.
The impending return of Adin Hill should provide a boost, but the Golden Knights will turn to rookie netminder Carl Lindbom. Lindbom has not played for the Golden Knights since Nov. 29, his first NHL career victory over the Sharks. The Swedish goalkeeper continues to impress in Henderson’s squad, so hopefully the momentum can continue.
Looking forward to a bite
Despite being on the rise, the Golden Knights remain a puzzle the Sharks can’t seem to crack.

Not only have the Golden Knights won all three games so far this season, but San Jose hasn’t been able to get into the win column against Vegas since the 2022-23 season. In fact, the Sharks were reminded of this sharply in their last game, on Dec. 23, when the Golden Knights scored five goals in the first period en route to a 7-2 victory. This was the Sharks’ last win over a rival, and the Golden Knights should expect to see a team hungry for revenge.
