These are the most dangerous intersections in the Las Vegas valley, police say

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Preliminary data puts the number of fatalities on Nevada roadways in 2025 at 381.

This number is down nearly 10% from 2024. The data showed 111 pedestrian fatalities and 64 unrestrained motorist fatalities.

Of the 381 deaths, 239 occurred in Clark County, according to data from Nevada Zero Fatalities and the Nevada Department of Public Safety.

The group said the zero-death data in Nevada is preliminary and does not necessarily include a final report. A full data report won’t be finalized until early 2027.

As of 2026, data from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department shows that as of January 4, there have been three deaths. One of the dead was a motorcyclist who hit a wild donkey, and two others were pedestrians, including a woman who died in a hit-and-run accident.

“When I walked across that street,” pedestrian Rapier Morgan said. “I had to look both ways twice before I continued.” “I’ve seen people almost get hit; I’ve almost been hit a few times,” Morgan said. “I mean, I literally had to crash because these guys wouldn’t stop.”

Separately, Metro posted on social media Wednesday a list of the jurisdiction’s most crash-prone intersections in December 2025.

“There’s been a lot of accidents here,” Natasha Niedrauer said of the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Flamingo Road.

The top intersections in all ten jurisdictions can be seen in the photos below:

LVMPD said drivers can expect more enforcement actions in the coming year, following increased enforcement in 2025. Metro said it issued 27,379 tickets in December 2025, a 63% increase from December 2024, when only 16,764 tickets were issued.

“I’d like to see them come here and patrol the speed limit,” one pedestrian told 8 News Now. “Keep them here more.”

Metro added in the post that the top factors in crashes in 2025 include failure to yield the right of way, failure to maintain lane and speeding.

“Slow down, pay attention and obey the law!” Metro said on social media.
