There is no player more worthy of analysis than Shaddell Sanders. A strong performance in the Week 18 finale against the Cincinnati Bengals could be a huge help in getting ready for 2026 and beyond.
To give Sanders the best possible chance of success, the Browns have signed a new center off the Detroit Lions practice squad to help provide better protection for Sanders, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Browns sign Lions OL off practice squad
“According to @MikeGarafolo and I, the Browns are signing center Kingsley Eguaquin from the Lions practice squad,” Rapoport reported Wednesday morning.

Cleveland needs all the help it can get from its offensive line. While the Bengals are not a dominant pass-rushing team, the Browns’ depth chart has been tested.
Ethan Pocic is retiring this season, and multiple other tight ends, including Jack Conklin, Teven Jenkins and Dawand Jones, are injured for parts of the 2025 season.
Adding some extra depth to the offensive line space is a must, and rookie UDFA Eguakun, who has appeared in four games for the Lions this season, is only 24 and now with the Browns.

This isn’t just about adding depth heading into Week 18 of the 2025 NFL season. This move could also play a huge role in 2026 and beyond, as the Browns are adding some talent to their offensive line at a fraction of the cost.
Rather than waiting until the offseason, Eguaquin’s signing could be seen as a move that could help add depth to the Browns’ roster going forward.
Andrew Berry has been running the team well as of late and this signing is a smart move to add some depth and become a starting option through the final week of 2025 and into the 2026 season.
