World Cup ticket demand shatters all-time record

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is already breaking records, with more than 150 million ticket applications submitted to date.

FIFA said this was the highest demand in World Cup history – more than three times the total number of fans who attended nearly 1,000 World Cup matches since the tournament began in 1930.

Applications for tickets poured in from nearly every country around the world, underscoring the huge global excitement for next year’s event.

Foxborough will be one of the host sites, bringing World Cup events directly to New England.

The following games will be held in Gillette:

  • Haiti vs. Scotland: Saturday, June 13 | Group C | @9pm

  • Iraq/Bolivia/Suriname v Norway: Tuesday 16 June | Group 1 | Game 18 — @ 6pm

  • Scotland v Morocco: Friday 19 June | Group C | — @ 6pm

  • England v Ghana: Tuesday 23 June | Group L | — @ 4pm

  • Norway v France: Friday 26 June | Group 1 | — @ 3pm

Teams for Boston’s remaining two games on June 29 and July 9 will be determined during the 2026 tournament.

Group A: Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, winner of playoff Group D
