NFL Draft 2026: This is who Giants could take with No. 2 pick after beating Raiders

The Giants have a lot of needs heading into the 2026 NFL Draft as they build around quarterback Jaxson Dart’s second season and beyond.

So what will they do with the second overall pick?

That’s where they stand after Sunday’s win in Las Vegas — with a week left in the regular season.

If the Giants lose to the Raiders, they get the No. 1 pick. But that didn’t happen as the Raiders were by far the worst team in the NFL and the Giants won 34-10 on the road.

The Raiders need a quarterback. Not so with the Giants. So if they finish second (the Raiders finish first), they’ll definitely still get their top target.

Of course, a Giants takeover of the top spot would open the door to a lucrative trade deal with a quarterback-starved team like the Jets.

The Giants can still get the No. 1 pick, but they need to lose to Dallas in Week 18 and allow the Raiders to beat the Chiefs (who have Chris Oladokun as their starting quarterback). So while it’s possible that the Giants could land the No. 1 pick, it’s unlikely given the current situation.

Let’s take a look at some potential draft targets for the Giants at No. 2. The Giants could also select any of these players with the No. 1 pick, barring a trade from that position — or shockingly select a quarterback like Fernando Mendoza, who may now land in Las Vegas.

(All prospect rankings come from Pro Football Focus.)

• WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State (No. 7 overall, No. 1 position): The Giants need to give Dart more help. Darius Slayton is clearly not the long-term No. 2 wide receiver opposite Malik Nabors. Tyson is a big-bodied threat (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) who has racked up 711 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games this season.

• WR Carnell Tate, Ohio State (9th overall, 2nd): He has a similar build to Tyson (6-foot-3, 195 pounds). While sophomore Jeremiah Smith is Ohio State’s top target this season, Tate is no slouch (838 yards and nine touchdowns).

• WR Makai Lemon, USC (No. 12 overall, No. 3 position): At 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, he’s slightly smaller than Tyson and Tate, but Lemon was dominant in 2025, throwing for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns. It’s hard to ignore this.

• CB Jermod McCoy, Tennessee (No. 13 overall, No. 1 position): As a high-paid free agent, Paulson Adebo’s performance has not been impressive. Cor’Dale Flott (who is actually having a great season) is a pending free agent (the Giants should definitely re-sign him). The Giants snubbed Deonte Banks with the 24th pick in 2023. Will they have better luck if McCoy is picked higher in the 2026 draft? He had four draft picks in 2024 but missed the entire 2025 season with a knee injury. Still, he’s a highly regarded prospect.

• CB Mansoor Delane, LSU (No. 15 overall, No. 2 position): While McCoy is out for the entire season in 2025, DeLeon was outstanding in his first season with two picks and 11 pass breakups in his first season after transferring from Virginia Tech to LSU. In Blacksburg, he has four draft picks in 2024.

• OT Spencer Fano, Utah (No. 19 overall, No. 1 position): The Giants start Andrew Thomas at left tackle. But their right tackle, Jermaine Eluemunor, is an impending free agent who just turned 31 years old. In two seasons with the Giants, he excelled as a pass blocker but struggled as a run blocker. If the Giants want to get younger at right tackle — four years after Evan Neal was sorely missed at the seven — Fano could be an option. He started at right tackle in 2024 and 2025 after spending 2023 at left tackle.

• CB Avieon Terrell, Clemson (20th overall, 3rd): While he has a solid season in 2024-25, totaling 21 snaps, he’s a bit undersized as a corner option (5-foot-11, 180 pounds).

• OT Francis Mauigoa, Miami (No. 21 overall, No. 2 position): He will only play right tackle from 2023-25, so the position won’t be an adjustment for him.
