Critics call the president Donald Trump Declaring this ’embarrassing’ Vladimir Putin He wants to see Ukraine “succeed” even as Russian forces continue to launch attacks on Kiev.
After meeting with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky Regarding Sunday’s much-hyped peace summit at Mar-a-Lago, Trump said no deal had been reached but it was “very close.”
Trump also claimed that Russia would help rebuild when peace is finally achieved.
“Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed,” Trump told reporters. “It sounds a little weird, but I explained to the president that President Putin has been very generous with Ukraine’s success. That includes supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices.”
However, not everyone believed Trump’s claims.
“This is so embarrassing,” political commentator @ArmandoNDK wrote.

barrier Sarah Longwell Wrote: “Whenever I really wanted my neighbor to succeed, I would break into his house, brutalize his family, steal his children, and burn his house down while screaming, ‘Bro, I just wanted to help!'”
Longwell added: “Our president is an international disaster.”
Ukrainian commentator @BohuslavskaKate wrote, “About the press conference: Trump is completely out of touch with reality. He doesn’t understand how to end this war or what he’s doing. But he clearly enjoys bragging in front of him about his relationship with Putin and their sweet phone calls. [Zelensky]. To him it was a power bending, but really he was just admiring a war criminal in front of the president of the victim country. Instead of looking powerful, it looks cruel and stupid. “
