  • In November 2005, he set sail for Florida with the owner of the boat without his parents’ permission.

  • No one heard from Christian again.

To make extra money, 15-year-old Christian Hall worked as a deckhand on the 74-foot sailboat Gypsy II off the coast of Corpus Christi, Texas.

In November 2005, the adventure-seeking teen asked his family if they could go on a trip with the boat’s owner, David “Dusty” Andrews, 39, for whom Christian was working.

For him, this will be a trip of a lifetime.

His family refused, but Christian went anyway.

On November 24, 2005, Christian and Andrews set sail for Florida, starting from a stop on the John F. Kennedy Memorial Causeway that connects Laguna Madre to North Padre Island in Corpus Christi.

But the two never made it to Florida and were never heard from again.

Twenty years later, Christian’s family is still searching for him with the help of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Christian’s aunt, Carla Boehm, told NCMEC she believed her nephew might still be alive. If so, she wants him to know that his family loves him and is happy to see him again.

“If he thinks no one cares, maybe he doesn’t want to go home at all,” Boehm told NCMEC.

Now, the organization is releasing a new age-change image created by a forensic artist to show what Christian would look like today at age 35.

Over the years, there has been little information about what happened to Christian and Andrews.

Authorities said Andrews did not have permission to take the teen on board.

On January 4, 2006, Christian’s family reported him missing.

The Texas Department of Public Safety also issued an advisory announcing Christian’s disappearance, along with photos of Andrews and the boat.

What authorities know is that Christian, 59, and Andrews were in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Louisiana when the sailboat sent out a distress call, NCMEC reported.

Authorities said the boat was taking on water, but the pair refused to offer any help.

Boehm remains hopeful that she and her family will be reunited with Christian.

“I hope he’s out there, sees this new photo and realizes that people are looking for him and that he is wanted,” she told NCMEC.
