Police arrest three October 7 terrorist infiltrators, seize weapons in Rahat

Israeli police arrested three Gaza terrorists in Rahat who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and seized ammunition and suspected weapons and equipment.

Israeli police arrested three Gaza terrorists in a raid in Lahat, southern Israel, who infiltrated into Israel during the October 7 massacre, more than two years ago. Walla Learned on Saturday.

When police searched the scene, they found a large number of weapons.

This included 50 rounds of 9 mm ammunition. Ammunition and an unknown quantity of loose 7.62 Kalashnikov rounds.

Additionally, an iron lathe was found, including one found inside the compound.

Authorities suspected the lathe was being used for “weapons-related activities.”

Detainees and seized items were transferred to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Service) for further processing.

Rahat is the largest Arab city in southern Israel, mainly composed of Bedouins, located not far north of Beersheba.

It was revealed two weeks after the incident that two Hamas terrorists who infiltrated into Israel from Gaza during the October 7 terror attack were arrested in Rahat in early November 2023, about a month after the massacre.
